Book Release

We just released our first book on Amazon Kindle, Rewiring the Process on March 21st, 2021. It was a huge relief to release the book on Amazon, however the week prior to the release proved difficult and problematic. We encountered a lot of resistance, strain, and difficulty communicating with each other- which was ironic given the material we were about to release. We argued about trivial things that normally would not escalate. It felt very draining to work on the things we were most excited about, which was strange given how much work we put in and how far we were in the process. At one point, I even contemplated not releasing the book at all. I figured, well if we couldn’t truly embody our content at all times- why should anyone listen to us? Plus, creating the experiences in the book resulted in many difficult and uncomfortable situations that required a lot of self-growth which was often draining.

After we released the book on Sunday evening, we woke up Monday with a fresh perspective. Somehow, we felt lighter and happier with a huge weight lifted. We felt genuinely good and much better than we had been feeling the previous week. We noticed we were back to our normal selves, communicating effortlessly with no issues. While on a walk, we discussed the idea that maybe an element of fear interfered in our interactions last week. Maybe we both felt an unconscious, unspoken fear that ultimately created difficult experiences to test our commitment to each other and our content. Could we truly put out work out there for all to see when we aren’t perfect? After discussing this idea, we realized yes, our experiences gave us the wisdom to share and teach the material.

We created the content from living the experiences. If we never had ineffective communication, how could we possibly come up with a method to streamline effective communication? We are able to teach from relevant, personal examples that translate our method in a tangible, practical approach for anyone wishing to improve their communicative experience. We are the ideal people to teach our experiences and our content. We can personally attest to everything in this book and have been through multiple experiences of the same ineffective process to understand how to transition to a more effective process.

In reflecting on our book, I am incredibly proud of us. I am proud that we did not hold back our insight and creativity out of fear, inadequacy, or imperfection. I am proud we created something valuable. I am proud we stayed true to our authentic selves, our commitment to each other, and our mission and vision. I truly hope you find value and insight in our book in the way we have. I hope you deepen your bond with your partner. Lastly, I hope you enjoy the newfound self-awareness and commitment to yourself and your ability to communicate authentically in the ideal manner in which you desire to be perceived.
